Kawasaki could claim the championship. After a long hot summer
Kawasaki-mounted Carpenter
-.-.blew away Suzuki'sTerry Vance
in the"final round to win both the
NHRA Number One plate and
the Winston World Fmals title.
Carpenter's triumph also won
him $10,000 from Kawasaki's
racing contingency program...
