Todd Peterson topped every Pro that dared enter CMC's Ascot action. the fourth place position and Alan Tomota advanced to flISt, ahead of Scott Jacobsen and Scott Graham. A lot of confusion occurred in the second moto. Sciarra out·rode everyone this time after a sensational start. He led the race straight to the very end while Sean Gilboy followed. Mitch Davis was third while Tomota followed after falling and having to work his way up. In the second moto, there was actually a little bar· banging going on between the two, with "Ole Dad" Sid showing Woody a couple of new tricks in the process. "Wailin" Woody was not to be shot out though as he easily blasted the I25cc class with a two for two go over MXers Kurt Fryling and Steve Kephart. Looks like lots of CMC motocross riders want to make a class transfer before the end of the year; all the Junior and Intermediate classes were filled. Top class of the night was the 250cc Juniors where Bobby Baldwin scored a come from behind victory over newcomer Richard Baugh and Derek Walker. The 125cc Juniors saw Mark Stone score a come from behind win over Kurt Fryling in division one and Larry Luna doing likewise over Kevin James in division two. Only disappointing turnout of the night was in the ATC class, apparently due to lots of San Diego riders getting ready for Thursday night at Corona. Top ATC race was the 91-112cc Modifed class where Todd Tierney squeaked out a close one over charging Larry Russell. Actually it looked to be a tie· breaker win by Russell in the second moto until the last lap when \ Tierney was able to take advantage of a traffic situation and sneaked by for the win.
