Noyce rode his Bill Buchka-tuned Honda to a 4·DNF finish at the Citadel circuit in Namur, Belgium to become the youngest-ever 500cc World Champ at age 22 and the first Briton to win the title in 15 years. Buchu is the first American to tune an MX World Championship winning machine, and he said it was the "hardest job I've ever' had to do." Noyce rode the second race, but DNF with a flat tire.
