,ionship MX . O'Neal (Hon) and Lars Larsson (Suz). O'Neal finished sixth overall in the Open Pros while Larsson was aboard a very trick and sanitary Suzuki. In the second moto, Larsson picked up the win over O'Neal with Minert again taking his division over Marshall jennings (CCM),jeffs father. CCM rider· Keith Petrangelo has been riding his bike regularly in the CMC's program and it pa.id off as he took both Open Intermediate motos handily over Vince Kreiziriger (Hon) and Tom McAllister (Hon). In the Open juniors, speedway rider Brad Oxley (Yam) put his four·stroke experience to good use. taking the first molO over Pete Eunice (Hon) and Steve Hodapp (MM). Things were switched around in the second moto, however. Oxley led for the majority of the race until he appeared to tire and slow. Eunice and Hodapp. both CMC regulars, were there to capitalize on the opportunity and seized it. In the 151·360cc Intermediates, Curt McCuistion was an easy winner. Though his normal mount is a Kawasaki KX, he adapted well to his pumped· up KLX, despite a kinked front brake cable in the first moto slowing him down after the first part <;If the race. The juniors also ran at the same rime a.nd Hodapp fmished behind McCuistion in both motos on a stock KI:..X for the junior laurels. Malcolm McCassy (FMF/KLX), after a third in molO one and some stalling problems, picked up second while King Thompson (Kaw) went 4-3 for third. After all the racing was done, a pleasant awards assembly was held, with prizes to ninth place in some cases.
