Kolbe Can·Am·mounted Donnie Hansen put together back to back wins in the 250cc Pro race as he held off Yamaha rider Tim Locey and Crown Cycle,'s. Mark La~rnce to.take the ~rst I mota win. In the second moto Locey fell to bad luck which put him out of the competition. This gave the overall to Hansen with Lawrence taking second and third going to Ken Zahrt (Mai). In the Open Pro race, round one saw Cole Bros. Maico rider Andy Jannings taking the holeshot followed by Luft Shocks Yamaha· mounted Joe Root in second and Kolbe Can·Am rider Donnie Hansen.
