While Carlson was liominating the win spot a real good race went on for second and third with Scott Hamilton taking second off a 4-2 finish and new Intermediate Danny Jones squeaking in for third with a 5-5 finish. Hamilton was making his fmal start with' CMC because he was moving to Colorado on the weekend, and Jones. after a shaky fint moto, got into--the swing of the faster competition 'in the second go 'round with another of his patented "Banzai" finishes. In the 250cc Intermediates. Craig Infeld scored a come from behind tiebreaker second moto win over Mark Seymour with a 5-1 finish over Seymour's 1-5 effort. The spoiler was Paul Woods who led the second moto until the last lap before being passed by Infeld; Seymour tried for second all the way to the checker but to no avail, and came up short for the overall. Marit'siittle brother Ronnie. however, came up with the biggest win of his career as he upset favorite Terry Murray with a second moto tiebreaker win in the Mini Intermediates. Rounding out the evening on a rather short but good racing program was a fine two for two win in the 125cc Junion by Don Seay; his fint of the 1979 season. - Results W_ 250 PRO: 1.
