Clint Tarvin secured himself in second ahead of Haydis, Bob Broten (Ya m) and Hensley while Tedde r struggled to make up for a dead last start. Tedder .pick ed off a couple of riders every lap until he was in fifth behind Hensley. While this was going on , Burtt was enjoying an im m ense lead that was growing continually. And he was doing it so smoothly that it looked like he wasn't even trying. But Tedder, on the other hand , was trying and he passed Hensley on the ninth lap, moving right up on Haydis. Both Haydis and Tedder then took on Clint and moved into second and third. A major battle for second might have erupted if th e checkered flag hadn't come out on the 12th lap, giving Burtt the top money ah ead of Ha yd is , Tedder, Hensley and Broten. Indio Suzuki's Craig Gormley did the winning in th e 125cc Pro class , but Rick Rodgers (Kaw) shadowed him in both motos. In round one, Gormley jumped into an early lead , but he tripped up on the first lap and let Rodgers get by . Gormley quickl y recovered and repassed Rodgers , keeping th e lead all the way to th e en d. Jon Friesen (Su z) held t h ird throughout the race . Moto two saw Rodgers grab the lead and hold it for half of th e race. Gormley passed him on the fifth lap , only to be passed right back. Then Gormley took the lead for good and Rodgers had to settle for second . Keith Williamson (Suz) took third after a mote-long battle with Troy Smith (Suz). Resu lts PEE WEE ' 1: 1.
