Hansen , wh ile tryi ng to evade J en nin gs . in traffic, hit the d irt around W e bco and dropped to fourth , T h is put Jennings in co ntrol, a nd Jeff ro d e flaw lessly to the chec ke red for the win over T a rantino . Back beh in d all th e fireworks out front, Locey was ru nning ahead of H oy t , Breke r and Bla ck we ll , b ut Breker blitzed by for fou rth at the halfway point. Locey hel d on to fif th for th e remainder of the mo ro ahead of Blackwell , bu t Breker set his sights on the lead ers . When Hansen dropped it late in the race , Breker was right there to fl y by for third . At the c hec kered J e n n ings , Tara nti no , Breker and Hansen were a ll wit hi n five bikelen gths of eac h ot he r. R o u n d two b el onged sol ely to T a rantino , who led it wire to wire des pite numerous assaul ts from Bob Elli ott a nd Greg Blackwell . On the first lap Ell io tt to ok co m m a nd of sec ond in fr ont of Bla ckwell , Jennings , Ro be rt Re isinger , Ma rk Gam betta and Breker , but Blackwell m oved into second q uickly. J ennings tried to get by both Blackwell a nd Ell iott , but on the third lap he got off hard , dropped to 15th, then pulled out of the ra ce . At the h al fwa y point T a ra nti no led Bla ck well , Elliott , R eisin ge r , Gam betta, Brek er a nd Lo ce y, a nd that order held until the la st la p , wh en B reker overt o ok Gambetta at the checkers . O vera ll Tarantin o was tops, with Blackwell , Breker , Loc ey a nd Reisinger ro undin g out the top five. O p en act ion sa w J e n n ings and Breker back at it aga in , a nd aga in J enn in gs r a n inconsis tentl y ' and allowed Breker to take the overall vict ory. Moto one saw J ennings take the holeshot ahead of Dave W illiams r idi ng fo r M a lc olm Sm ith , P a r r y Klass en o n a Maico , and Breker. On t he second lap B reke r di spatched Klassen , then fo llowed Williams a nd J enn in gs for four laps. At the halfwa y point Breker slip ped by Williams a nd set after J ennings , Within three la ps Breker was on J ennings' tai l and the race to the fla g was very close. Breker pull ed ri ght a lo ngside J en n in gs a number of times, but th e checke re d fl ag c a m e o ut wi t h J e nn ings in command , Breker a very tight second, and Williams a he ad of Klassen and Tarantino. Wi lliams holeshot the sec on d moto ahead of Br eker , T erry C la rk . Jennings a nd Tarantino , but o n t he t h ird la p B rek er took ov er and Jennings was back in third . Willia ms would not let the Suzuki rid er by, a nd in his efforts d ropped it on the seve n th and fell to fifth behind Clark and Klassen.
