He got th e holeshot and locked it u p to the finish . Marvin O lsen rea lly moved through th e pa ck a nd did som e terrific riding 10 take second, and Marshall J ennings had a good claim for thi rd . Moto two saw Lewis again with th e hol esh ot but Jennings was th er e a t his rea r fender. Marshall had to move ba ck wh en a tele p ho ne po le jumped int o t he wa y. T he n it was Ol sen ta iling Blackie a nd on th e last la p , Marvin made his move by taking the inside o n a turn . T his th en pUt Marvin in the winni ng pos itio n . Don J ens en did some aggresive riding .to ca ptu re second place in th e second m oto and Earl N ichols ca me in thi rd . In the Arn.ncur divi sion , Geo rge O 'He ave r to o k th e lead and held it for two la ps. Then it was Georg e Spearing who had t h.. lead for two la ps b ut then . Asher La rn kjaer came out from 10th p la ce and took th e lead awa y from that other George . So on t he last la p Asher was in th e lead a nd cl aimed th e victo ry. George Sp earing was th er e fo r second and fol lowing George was th e ot he r o ne' - George O'H eaver with a good third pla ce. Mota two sa w still a no t her Ge orge - but George . Me yer this tim e . He blasted o ut of th e ga te a nd never looked ba ck until clearing the finish lin e in th at pri zed positi on. George Spearing was in th ere with a second position for th e overa ll win and J ohn Sa id 's sm ooth riding won him th e third pl a ce . Wayne Powell took th e holeshot in the Nov ice div ision and he held this for three laps . Then a problem regarding a stalled bike arose and James Davis quickly took th e lead and on to victory. Bob Kla tt captured the second pla ce and Dave Collins, o vercom ing a ll obstacles (stalled bike) , was t here for third . Despite being last to start in moto two - Davis rode up very qu ickly to the winni ng pos ition . Klatt was in th er e again fo r seco nd , and poweri ng in for th ir d again was Coll ins . .
