Reg Pridmore Just like Springer, he's looking for a fourth number one By Dale Brown Ever since there has been a national number one in Superbike Production racing, there has been Reg Pridmore. He did it first on a BMW. When the BMW importer, Butler and Smith, got out of racing, he took up riding Kauasakis, first for Racecrafters, then for Craig Vetter, Two more national championships were th e results, Now Pridmore, 39, is ready to go for hisfourth championship,Joining him will be Craig Vett er, again sponsoring the effort, and Pierre des Roches, who turns the wrenches that cause the wheels to turn - rapidly. !leg Pridmore was born in England in 1939, As he grew up he became one of the "original cowboys , .. He started riding motorcycles and then went faster and faster. Accidents that weren 't his fault forced him off the street and on to th e race track.
