Money TT. Mike Cordero was off
second with Scott Podergors again in
the hunt. It took Podergors one lap to
dispose of Cordero and pick up
second.
Denn is Briggs has always been at
home on a TT a nd Sa tu rd ay night was
no exception. Add Bob by Sand ers to
the field and you hav e the making of a
good race. O ff the line it was Briggs
and Sa nd ers in the 1·2 spots with Al
Glover third. T hey were still running
1·2 as they headed into the last la p but
Sanders ra ng into trouble and it cost
him two spots as Glover a nd Mike
Min nig m oved to fill the ga p.

back on tap . T he 25 0cc main saw Ross
Kla tt cha rge to th e head of the pack
with Hames in seco n d a nd Jay Lew is
third . Hames did his t hing and took
over th e lead on the second lap whil e
Dylan Neihart moved into the fr ay in
third . From there on ou t it was the
Cor ona re ug lars that led the way wit h
H ames collecti ng his second big win
of th e night. Kla tt and Ne iha rt picked
up the place and show spots.
Nineteen O pen Pros were on ha nd
wit h their swee t sounding Ya mahas
and as alwa ys put on a good show .
Eddie La wso n _showed them why he
ho lds the track rec ord (22 .17 ) as he
exploded into the lead when the flag
fell for the main . H a mes got off second
but R a iney wanted a shot at Lawson
a nd m a d e short work of Ha m es.
Ch a rlie Summ ers was running well
and hol ding off a charging Rich Vol k .
Mike Mi n nig was on the move , first
picking off Vol k and then Su m mers.
The th ree front ru nners sett led in
tryin g to fin d a mi stake th at never
ca me but thi ngs were fa r fro m over in
th e Minnig/Summer s/Volk due l. As
the wh ite fla g ca me out both Summers
and Volk got by Minnig bu t it was sti ll
Lawson , Ra in ey and H ames a t the
checkered.
