O ne id ea which has been discussed off a nd on for a few years might be worth considering to sti mulate interest : Crea te a "Super Pro" class , a Formula O ne level of competition. Roughly, this would mea n creating something like a - "Super Grand National" class and series , something very exclusive involving only the best .> biggest and highest dollar paying races (limited to just 10 or 12 a year) for which riders would have to be qualified through regular National and National Regiona l races , and for which promotors could bid. As long as the top series in this country is tied, 'th ro ug h tradition and necessity (at the moment) , to such facilities as those which have spectator cap acities of 50 ,000 and up as well as those which are limited to 10,000 (and therefore can 't grow any bigger) , the sport is going to have a very difficult time moving upward.
