As the route sheet pointed out . gas was a nother 2.8 mi les down the road which was to be a welcome sight to m any riders. Pit crews and club members gave assistance to the tired riders . Only a five minute layover was allowed. so one had to hurry 10 remain on time. After the gas stop the course continued along semi -paved fireroads .
