Blackie Lewis took the whole thing in the Master class with a 1·1 while Marshall Jennings took second with a 2·2 . It was a real batrle in mota two with Jennings and Blackie just a few feet apart at the finish line. In the Senior Expert class Chuck Woody took a big first in the first moto, followed by Bob Millner for second and Don Jensen for third . In the second moto, Jensen took first . Ken Williams took second. and corning in third. it was Woody . Expert Tom Widick took the big trophy with a 1·1 . followed by Dave Hutchens with a 2 ·2. and then it was Manny Dauber who took third in the first moro . In the second mota. however. Ma nny decided to try a mud ho le for size wit hout his snorkle. bu t he was able to restart . mud 'a nd all .and ended up with fourth overall. Art McNamee took third in mota two. Amateurs were shown how by Don Hobson who worked his way from sixth place at the start to take first place in mota one. followed by John Webb for second. and Fred Maynard for third. In the second rnoto it was John Webb who took and held the number one spot all the way to the checkered. followed by George Meyer for second and Fred Maynard for third . The Novices toll owed Dan Harris who took first place in mota one. Bob Klatt took a second and Paul Mayhew came in third . Moto two saw Mayhew taking the checkered first. followed by Harris with a second and Bob I\latt came in third . Results Rathole Rocky beat the Expert rat race at t he Over The Hill Gang MX. The track was definitely not in need of watering . With mud everywhere. many Old Timers thoughts went back to last winter and the five months of rain and mud . Our Experts. bdng somewhat of the same quality, took on the challenge. In mota one. Rathole Roc ky was into the first tum ahead of the pack with Get -Off Gary, Stu b by Steve and Corroded Carlos foll owing. They went onto finish in that order. In mota two it was Rathole Roc\(y ' again ta king the lead at the first tum. ( but with Corroded Carlos pressuring h im all the way . Get-off Gary couldn't shift out of second gear with tranny, trouble but stayed in the race. Stu b D~ I Steve washed out at the m udhole butr was able to fin d his b ike and get go dig b aga in . R athole Rock y went on to WlIl to p spot with his back-to-ha ck wins ' li Get- Off Gary (2·g) was second follo wed by Corroded Carlos (4·2) and Stubby Steve (g·4). The Amateur class roared off the line right behind the Experts. Nauseous Norm nabbed the holeshot in mota one and held the lead until he missed a shift which allowed Du Du 0 Dan to slip by. Flaky Frank gained third place when Slimy Steve got off I after passing the treacherous mudhole. In the second mota. Nauseous Norm went into the tum first but Du Du Dan didn't let him keep the lead. Dan went out front right away with Jacknife John cutting in to chase him . Du Du Dan he ld on to win first overall with Jackknife John cutting in to chase him . Third place was taken by J ackknife John (4·2). followed by Flaky Frank (who, with more bad luck.;' lately. threw a chain) and Slim y Steve-n< . Fli ppin Fred and T oad Tom fought it out in b'othH moros with Fred coming out in front of0 Tom for the second place spot. Toad I Tom was able to take third with a 4-3 finish a head of Absent AI (g-4) and Ru nover Ron (5·5) . The Novices shared the tra ck with the Intermediates. starting in the
