The first assault on the hilly courS~ ) was made by the Experts. In moto one; ' Pitter Pat was into the first tum at th e-' top of the hill setting the fast pace for ' the rest of the pack. Rathole RockY; ~ Stubby Steve ' and Corroded Carlos . followed. Moto two was a different tale. Pitter Pat . once again took 'di~" holeshot and it looked like a repeat of ). the first moto until his RM spit him"'ciff) as he turned up the hill for the start of lap two. With barely a backwar glance, Rathole Rocky (Yam) moved into the lead and went on to win first oVerall. Beautiful Bruce (Mai) and Corroded Carlos (Mai) had their own race going with some exciting grip to grip dicing, . with Beautiful Bruce taking second with his 5·2 finishes . Corroded Carlos was third , finishing _ 4·3 ahead of. Pitter Pat, Stubby Steve ilG (Yam) and Get-Off Gary (Mai). . The Amateurs, sharing the trackj with the Experts, took off in the j second wave behind the gate. It was Du Du Dan (Yam) who daringly drove down the dangerous hill , defying gravity, dodging dips, diving deep into ' turns and coming out ' to finish fint J overall. Jester Jerry (Yam) was 3-2 for l second place. Flaky Franky stayed with Du Du Dan in moto one, but DNF f moto two when he did anothei l spectacular getoff on one of tli~ J treacherous down hills which brought ) the spectators to their feet.
