NORTHERN DATELINE . A new S.I.R. MX track challenged the riders at CMC's Fall Series opener. Jacobson pulls off CMC Fall Series opener wins at S.I.R. By Sue Sykes KENT, WA . OCT. 15 Three hundred fifty-eight riders broke up the rocks at Sea tt le International Raceway during the grand opening of their new long course. Super star Pat Jacobson hot throttled his Suzuki all day long and pocketed almost half of this day's $1000 guaranteed Pro purse after aces in all motos in every Pro class. A full gate of 250cc Pros pushed past the opening turn to string out ready for the new dropaway and the back piece , just logged off to make a spot for a few jumps and turns. Bill Joyce grabbed the second moto lead with Highland Honda's Rick Weidman (Hon) in for third . W ha t a race! At the d rop of the flag J acobson scooted on by for the moto win . 125cc Pros Ph il Larson. Jim Anderson and Robb Manning are just pushing 16 years of age bu t they ride with the same style and spo rtsm a nship of any champ. Anderson (Suz) j umped into a one lap lead and later held the second spot until the last lap of moto one when he broke a sprocket on a right ba nder. Larson pu t together 2-5 motos for second overall . Anderson came back in the second moto to finish second. The Open Pros found Jacobson on top again with an easy getaway. Ti'!1 Michlitseh scored a good second hIS first time out but got hun in the 250cc Pro race and ended up in the hospital. A speedy get well Tim. Team Totem's Bruce Hill (Hus) put the magic numbers together for a solid second overall and Mike Anderson (Yam ) earned a th ird for Olympic Yamaha . The $10.000 Fall Series will run every week until Dec . 8 with the Pro guarantee made possible by motorcycle shops in the Pa cific nort hwest. Tha n ks go to Bellevue Honda for thei r super support of this first race of the series . Canadian rider ' Rob Pa rker . from Kerem eos, B.C . , took home S15 for his tr avel efforts.
