John Silva rounded out the top three 250cc. The second moto again saw the Bauer explosion but this time Burgess and Silva were right behind him and Jones. with a bad start. was back in seventh with a hard road to go . As the top runners continued to do their thing Jones was picking his wa y through traffic , a rider per lap . .Even .at th a t pace it was good enough to put him in fourth by the third lap and it was here all upward motion ceased. Bauer, Burgess and Silva captured the 250cc overall and Jones took the Open over Lou Fernandez. Danny Burtt who has played the bridesmaid role on more than on e occasion is really starting to come into his own and is making a name for himself as a 125cc Pro to be reckoned with . Friday night the 125cc class belonged to Mr . Burtt and h is Redlands Suzuki . Burtt led both motos start to fini sh and Andy Northrop and Robert Cray followed him home in th e 2·3 spots both tim es. Craig Seeley looked to be a strong contender for th e 'win in th e 125cc Beginner d ivision I. He trailed Joe Mutt for one lap before taking over th e lead and going on for the win . Dwa in Dahl came ou t of fourth to p ick up t he second and Steve T esta ca me from sixth to'third. The second m oto saw Dave Halverson jump out into th e lead with Seeley in second and Dahl third . Seeley took over first on the second la p and lost it back to Halverson on the third as Seeley dropped to fourth . On the fourth la p Seeley again lost ground as he went to fifth but came figh ting back to fourth as the white flag ca me out. After such an effort the fickl e finger of fate stepped in and he was unable to finish. The win went to Dahl with Mutt second and Halverson third . The overall was the same. Res ult s MINI BEG: 1.
