Dunlap's chief compet it ion came from ' ve ter a n Inte rmedia te rid ers M ik e Monsegur in the Modified Division and Ray T erherton in the St ock class , but neither rider was ' able to stay ahead of the charging Dunlap for mor e than a half alap . Dunlap also rode th e very competit ive 100 cc Novice Motorcycle cl ass, .but after a ' fourth in th e first moto , was sidelined by m ech ani ca l trouble in th e second whil e ru nn ing up near th e fro nt. Wh ile b unlap and Mik e Cl ark in th e 9 to l l -year-old Min is were the only double winners Sunday . only flat ti res kept new member (this year) Chris Lance fro m a sweep of th e Sto ck and Modi fied classes for Novice riders 12·1 6·years of ag~. As it happen ed Lance was able to hold on for a two for two vic tory in the Modified class as his tire went on the las t lap of th e first moro , but in the Stock class the tire went flat early and he had to drop o u t of the first moto , coming back for a nother win in the second round . Seems he was running just a little too ' Iowa re ar tire pressu re , and the severe - ~~;sco~rs~h:e~~g~~~:~!g ~~~-c~~;i~~~ The Stock Novice 12·16 class was taken by Bill y Evans who scored a tie breaker second mo to win over April Dunlap for his ca reer first win , In Motorcycle action, Ken Warne · b k f returne d to gra b a ue- rea er rom Jeff N uss in the 125cc Novice class as newco mer Rick Ke nyon showed lots of style with a smooth third overall .
