Anderson shadowed him all the way while Tom Poage (Yam) spent half the race trying to take third away from Doug Taylor (Hon). Michlitsch was the only one of the top four to play any pan in the second moto, Taylor and Poage failed to stan, Tom with a broken frame. Anderson started dead last off the line, then dumped it a couple of laps later and retired. Montey Mitchell (Mai) hounded Tim, and Andy Tudor (Hon) kept an eye on Montey in th ird. Michl itseh was back in the Open Pro in a big way. He built up a huge lead in the first moto, then stopped to have his throttle repaired. Skeet Hise (Yam) slipped by for a momentary lead, but Michlitseh made short work of that. Michlitseh really had to earn his way in the second moto, though. Tom Poage (Yam) led the first half, then hung on like a flea on a dog's back after Michlitsch took the lead. Results IZ2l5 _ Ave. Cenoga Park. J05I634.4582Tete_: 6811 154 VfHON North Dakota VISitor Joren Boyce made 2-2 finishes good for the overall win in the 100ccA class. It was Jay Foster (Yam) in the 125ccC class, Frank Buell (Yam) in th e 125ccB class, and Barry Evans (Yam ) in the 125ccA class. Evans put on a whale of a show with Sandy Jaquish (Yam) banging knuckles with him for most of both motos in one of the most exciting races of the day . The 125cc Pros kept things . humming with Leon McDonald (Yam) beating out Gary Kuest (Yam) in both motos, with SCOlt Karr (Yam) and Ken Peterson (Suz) constantly trying to get in on the act. Kuest led both 250cc Pro' motos from stan to finish , but had strong challenges from Andy Tudor (Hon) and finally Kelly Rambo (Hon) moving right in on his rear fender and hanging in there like a shadow that . wouldn't shake loose. The Open Pros ran with the A and B classes. SCOlt Pearson (Suz) led the first moto all the way, with Mike Kane (Yam) and Pat Gunter (Yam) just not able to catch up. In the second moto Kane got the holeshot followed oy Gunter, Ryan Robertson (Yam ) and Dale Greene (Bul) in close order. Kane stretched the lead while Pearson started moving up through the pack. He finally caught Gunter in the nintq lap. but Kane's good lead held up for the win. and Pearson wound up second overall behind Kane's 2-1 finish . Gunter got the first place A trophy and Leroy Smith the first place B trophy. MINI JR.: 1. John Wiloon (Sun; 2. Terry leo Krause (Sun ; 3. Troy Dampoey ISuzI. MINI INT. 1. S _ Bye !Yam) 2.
