(Above rightl Bruce Ogilvie has been almost as consistent. and he pulled off another 250cc Expert win over Brad Henson. (Belowlln his first Expert ride, Chuck Miller did very well. finishing third. CA.jULY 30 KTM's Bob Balentine celebrated his 22nd birthday by winning his ninth AMA D-37 desert race in a row . the Antelope Ramblers M.e. europea!1 scrambles. Amateur/Expert races 16 0 The Trailbikes took to the field just as the cool morning started to melt . Kevin Hopkins got a super start, but joe Lockhart got a super poor start. Lockhart managed to work up to second overall but no way could h catch Hopkins. Third went to first: Amateur Cliff Thomas; Don Urbanek riding his first Amateur ride bagged fourth overall. jeff Robbins , Oren Beck , Dave Wilson and Bob Ishman rounded out the finishers. The vintage ones lined up next. When the dust had settled, the fi rst Senior to the snow cone tent was Ron Bebo, followed by Dick Camp and "Smokebom b" Gaetz. George Zuber did it to Francis Christensen again in the 250cc class . number 080x was third. Ron Milligan grabbed the C bike win ahead of George McCellan. john McCown and Harry Cantrall.
