"They don't need no parts!" grinned a jubilant
Alex Jorgensen as Roxy chided him about the
antique piece of equipment he had just wheeled
into victory circle after winning his second National event of the season on
Ascot Park turf.
Jorgensen, riding a BSA "somewhere between 25 to 50 years

old," had just pulled off a victory that
was supposed to belong to one of the
three pre-race favorites scheduled to
make lhiS National TT event one of
the most important races in this year's
Camel Pro series. Grand National
Champion, Jay Springsteen, five-lime
Ascot National TT winner, Gary SCOll
and too -hot-to-handle Steve Eklund
were favored going into the battle, But
as fate would have it , none of the
riders mentioned (with the exception
of Eklund) carne even close to the task
of winning.
