Burtt had seco nd p la ce na iled do wn when th e rac e came in to its fina l laps, then it was his turn to go down . Suzuki-mounted Ted Knipe and J ack Greenberg ended th e eve ning with a n exci ting duel for first in the 105cc Mini Open . After swa pping wins in th e Intermediate 'class (Knipe took m e overall ), they once aga in set their wh eels to the tra ck in th is las t event . Knipe took the holeshot in the fir st m o t o ; a nd sa iled int o a he a lthy lead. Greenberg's sta rt was hampered by a p atch of m ud and cou ldn't get close enough to m ak e a m ove on Knipe . . It was nip a nd tuck off th e line t he . second tim e , wit h Greenberg pulling his wh eel in front out of the hairpin . The pressure mounted as Knipe moved to h is side over the tower jumps , into the turns, never ' falling more than half a bike behind.
