Randy Wing (Douglas County Motorsport) wal ked awa y with all three of the money classes. Wing has rid den the Cla rk's Bra nch track for the past seven seasons and knows every inch of it. Wing, Chris W ash burn and Craig Praus fought for the holeshot of the first 250cc Expert moto . Washburn dumped it and had to work his way from 10th to third before the end of th e 30-minute moto . Larry Hooper (Mot omotion) pitted with a sick bik e and Ra y Price came from a slow start 10 fourth . Second rnoto saw Bob Connors , ha ving figured out the track, cover th e hillsid e turn to first. and rem a in there with Washburn second and Wing third . The 125cc Experts were all too ready to leave the line. After several attempts and a final warning, Wing and Mel Sample were turned around backwa rd . A pileup at the tower corner put Edd Price , R ick Yates and Allen Graves back and Wi ng. Sample and Da n Villapoto finished 1-2-3. Experts put Treve O pen McReynolds out of commission and sent C lark Garnder to the pits. AMA flat . track Pro Gary Da vis' stock Yamaha quit after 18 laps in a respectable third place: Wing won both motos and a 4·2 gave Rod Nordstrom (C & R Ra cin g) second place money.
