Yamaha rider Troy Kelso took

finish ed third on his Maico, also one
minu te down .
Sta rt ing off with a spee d average of
24 m ph over fast tra il, th e ride rs co u ld

ravine . Rid ers surprisingly bega n to
meet head -on with contestants who
were coming ba ck d own the trail

men and machines piled u p like

up like rush hour o n th e freeway . The

th e bortleneck to clear ou t co m pletely .
