KCRA also gave an excellent report on all its news broadcasts of Kenny Roberts' Daytona 200 win th is yea r. This sounds like a commercial , but we are not connected with th e station , just loca l motorcycle en thusiasts who really th ink that it's tim e to give cred it where credit is due. The crucial first step in reviewi ng the 447 mi llion acres of pub lic land, incl uding 16 million acres in C alifornia , is to decide on the method _ of identifying potential areas, and we want the widest possible public involvement to assist us in developing this procedure , Lands administered by BLM were not covered by the Wilderness Act of 1964 , but the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976 included these lands in the wilderness program and directed us to conduct 'a wilderness review of these lands . We will have a public meeting Apr. 19 in the Sutter Room . Sacramento Community Center, 14 t h and K Street s, Sac ramento to revicw the draft guidelines and discuss them with the public. This will be followed by . meetings in Barstow and Anaheim May 2 and 3 10 discuss the accelerated review procedure required 10 meet the deadline of Sep t. 30, 1980 , for com pl erion of a _ comprehensive management plan for the Ca lifornia-r.
