Due to the gate problem . the sta rt was a little short but it was enough for Donni e Cantaloupi to come ou leading the first 125cc Expert moto . He was foll owed by Dirt Werks · sponsored Da n Ferraro. Ferraro bit it early. landing on his head and losing his visor. He got right up and on his way but was in last place with a lot of ground to make up . Meanwhile. Cantaloupi was still in front pulling a comfortable lead . but the rea l fast laps were bei ng tu rned by Ferr aro . who was movin g through the pa ck in a ra d ica l fas hio n.
