Sh ultz and his dad ca me down from their Northern Sacramento hom e just to race in the Bosch 5000. His next race will be in the Pontiac, MI Supercross. David Williams , riding a Maico for Wheelsmith , had to settle for second giving him second overa ll, and th ird this r a ce wa s picked up by Greg Robertson who with his fourth-place fin ish in the first moto too k hom e th e third -place money. The 250cc Pr o race had 36 e n t r ies, making it . a difficul t race- to win b y an yone's standards. Dave Taylor roosted th e 125cc Pros by winning the overall in that division . The first moto he started fift h a nd had to work his way up, but not without problems. He was riding a brand new Suzuki and forgot to remove the kickstand so halfway through the ra ce it was flopping around , hitting th e ground, making a general racket and causing him to lose his concentration. He never did cop the lead from Mark Lawren ce who won th e first moto , so he had to settle for secon d . Team Honda's " Marvlus" Marland Whaley, getting in shape for the upcoming National season , won the Expert cla ss with 20 points : That new tw osome , Bu lt a co rider Lane Lea vitt a nd Yamaha's Debbie Evans, wer e seco nd and third with 32 and 63 points , respectively.
