Cou p e ha d worked his way up behind Pres to n and followed him past Ph il. T wo laps la ter , Preston was in fir st and Chapm an was in fourth, Preston , Dennis, Coupe and Chapman all took off together pullin g a lea d on everyone . They fin ished in tha t order. The overa ll scores were th e same as th e second m ot o finishi ng position for the firs t four riders. Jay Cook go t the overall in the I25cc Intermed ia te cl a ss after fin ish ing seco nd behind Darrel Chapman in th e first m oto. In the second moto the Lu msden / Nail team was agai n out in fro n t at th e first tum with Price/Price, Thompson/ Steele and Pool/Pool giving chase .
