CMC/Suzuki Golden State Series Round two .Lackey, Staten 1"8 1 and Turner smoke Sacto By Dale Brown SACRAMENTO , CA ,JAN. 22 Team Honda's Brad Lackey, Bassett Racing Products' "Rocket Rex" Staten and privateer Danny Turner captured wins in the Open, 250 " and 125cc Pro classes respectively, in the second round of th e Con ti nental Motosport Club's (CMC) Suzuki Golden Sta te ,Series hel d at Sacramento Off-Highway Vehicle Park . The Sac ramento location was a last minute substitute for Sears Poin t Interna tional Ra cewa y. Promoter Fred Dion of Boss MX made the decision to switch sites seve n days before the event. 6 "T here's no way I cou ld hav e held the race there ," said Dion , speaking of the rains that have . pelted Ca lifornia during recent weeks. . Sta ten , rid ing for Bassett Racing Prod uc ts in the O pe n and 250cc classes, claimed a second behind Lackey in the Open race and the 250cc win to emerge on top of both class point standings.
