It sure was nice to attend a race and go home without my hea d ringing. DENNIS BURKMAN Westminster, CA CMCconcern As loyal supporters of CMC and motocross for several years . we are deeply concerned about the first race of the Golden State Series. It has always been our feeling that CMC had th e best interests of the riders in mind . I do not believe thi s was true at the Saddleback even t. Our greatest concern was with th e 125cc Professional race, which was allowed to be started in sem i-darkness with another 125cc Junior race still on the track . This. in m y judgment. was total disregard for th e safet y of both th e Junior riders on t he track and the Professional rid ers starting. Then to allow the ra ce to con tin u e after a major pileup on th e fi rst downhill comer was unthinkable. Finally to still allow the race to continue aft er a flag was d isplayed leading some of the Professional riders to believe that the race was b eing sto p ped was ou trageous. W e cannot beli eve that an organization with CMC's reputation could have allowed all th ese thi ngs to ha ppen in one race. WANDA & EUEL KING Whittier. CA Hannah's stats Some people might have the idea that Honda won the most motocross races this last year because of the Full House Manufacturers award. Wrong! I have ·kep t track of every race (th rough Cycle N ews. of course) and have most all the statistics for the 1977 season.
