Texas 75040 214 -494-3374 PESCADERO, CA,JAN. 2 Brothers Jim and Paul Turner showed up for the third rou nd of Knob Hill Ranch Winter Motocross after round two was can - celed due to lack of rider interest and rain. Now that winter. is here and rid ers are realizing it 's ride in the wet or don't ride al all , there was a fair turnout and a good show . Jim Turner proved that adverse conditions don 't slow down the Experts. He put on a flawless display of speed with smooth lines, body English and fine throttle control for a win in the Open Expert class ahead of Dennis Stapelton. Rick T imossi put his Maico in third and beat Scott French out of place honors. The 250cc slush was another Turner affair with younger brother Paul showing everyone where the traction was at to beat Jerry Edie and Bill Leonheart. Greg Muscatell, a familiar name in District 36 racing, did the job in the 125cc run with Larry Wosick second and Bill Leonheart copping another third ahead of Mike Marques. Intermediates ran right behind the Experts , with the same track conditions . They had to work hard for their brass. Jerry Jackson took honors in the Open class with Glenn Willis second and Scott Caldwell thi rd . Fords (john and Pet e) fought over fourth with Pete getting the edge. The 250cc Intermediate race was a mess that saw Russ Dela Fuente come out on top of Tim Cronin. Novices ran in the morning with not as much ra in but on a demanding track. Open rider Dene Dale won both rnotos to take the crown over Tim Werder, Jim Moore and hockey player Allan Kallerman. The 250cc Novice results were incomplete due to mud but it looked like B. Velasco took the win over A. Hannibal. Br ian Odell made a clean sweep of the 12.5cc class with John Kruschke , Jeff Bramlett, Larry Cronin , Larry Butler and Pat Schultz taking home trophies . Laurels wen t to Mike Holmes and Bobby McGinnis in the 100cc dice
