Contact Schafer at (2091267-0312 after 6 p.m. Contrary to what was thought at the conclusion of the Nov. 13 CMC race at Carlsbad, CA , Mike Bell did not win the number one plate in the 250 class. That award went to Tim Lunde. The. points totals which showed Bell leading in points coming into the race were later found to be in error. Bell , however, was assured by CMC officials before the event that he d id have the lead, so he went ahead and rac ed two motos with a broken wrist suffered th e previou s night a t Anah eim and finished fifth . Lunde finished ' third and won th e championship by 10 points, a bitter blow to Bell , who raced in so much pain that tears filled his goggles at the end of the second moto, Sears Point Trans-AMA winner Brad Lackey was in the car that Jimmy Weinter rolled Sunday, Nov. 13.
