Phil Minahan (Suz) had ca ugh t up with the first three and all were close together. Shoreen had passed Fortin, and both of them had taken Leonheart by th e time Cantaloupi made it to fifth a nd was practically running over Minahan. Before the ra c;:e was over, Cantalou pi was r igh t on top of Shoreen threatening. but not able to take first. Cantaloupi got off the line good in the second moto and stretched out a gigantic lead to claim the mota and the OVfi3.1l for Yamaha and Dirt Werkes.
