• i THE LATEST President Carter's biker sister, Gloria Spann, has edited a good book titled."Away from home: Letters to my family'" authored by Rrst Mother Lillian Cartar. The book is insightful, humorous, and reassuring. "The book was put together by a biker, remember, during the campaign when it was e real challenge to hang on to reality and my own identity," Gloria said. It's published by Simon and Schuster, $6.95 at bookstores. Little Kookie is ready to do his doggy bit on the tank, but John McCown is not getting married after all , we are told. Bikers in Paris, France ,hold semi· official road races every Friday night in the new market section of Rungis that have killed or injured close to 400 people. The photo had it right; the Honda teamsters are using the Airshox . Also , we recently reported Billy Grossi on a Carabela ride. That . was for one race only; he 's riding a .H usky in the Trans-AMA. The AMA continues to go show-biz as they are the sanctioning body for the "World Championship of Motorcycle Jumping" which will be held at Orange County International Raceway in California on October 28.
