The Two Plus Two M / C o rga n ized this even t whi ch was a tte nde d by a bo ut 120 riders. They la id out a 12 mi le co urse on the Uppe r Ran ch of th e ORV p ark. (Th e upp e r a rea is reserv ed for corn pc t iti ve eve nts a nd Fo ur Wheel ers .) Th e la nd is a vailab le and Norther-n Ca liforn ia clubs sho u ld use it for their even ts wh en a p plica ble. T he co u rse was p rett y d ec e nt : variabl e terrain , just a littl e dust a nd good cou rse co n t ro l. T here were a coup le of loose, rocky d own hills wh ich kind of reminded a rider ' of an end uro and a co u p le of m oto cross ·t yp e sections. MAR . 27 The season opener at Startup M/C Park was a real test of man and machine, The current drought was definitely .not in evidence as the weather ran the gamut - hail. snow, rain and even a few brief moments of bright sunshine. Of the 130 riders that signed up several were forced to ca ll it a day afte r practice a nd th e first motos took th eir to ll of riders out due to equ ipment problems.
