Clark Sumner (Suz) led early in the IOOccJ u nio r main and was soon joined by Bert Stephens (Ya m) challenging for the front SP01. The two tossed the lead back and forth through lap two with Stephens taking control on lap three. Sum ne r began closing in for a no t he r attem pt o n the lead on la p four a nd succeeded in the second turn : taki ng the win wit h Stephe ns a close second . Bill W ilson ( Ya m) rode a n impressive 125cc Ju nio r race but in vain . Wil son led the entire race u nti l th e fina l lap wh en Da rrell Rowlett (Ya m) powered through a nd g ra b be d th e win in the righthander. The 125cc Expert class is always a good race a nd to day was no except ion.
