Dale Anderson and his red monster Maico , Goin g a rou nd the firs t turn with him were Eddie Gonzales (Suz) a nd Vince Kreizinger. who was rid ing a fourstroke Ho nda that he buill himself. Allen Ortiz (Mai) displaced both Gon za les and Krei zinger by the end of th e second lap . Ortiz then had some stiff competition fro m Tim Wel ker (Suz) who was reeli ng him in rat her q uickly. Anderson . at this poi nt in the rnot o , wa s three tu rns a hea d of everyone and fu ll on th e gas . Welker bumped O rt iz for second. Anderson was sti ll way out in fro nt with W elker in seco nd.
