Gary, Wilson (Pen) won both m oto s of the 250 Expe rt while SCOll Logston came in second both rnotos, Bu ltaco riders Terry Habish and Mike Medwin traded third and fourth places with Mike taking third in the second moto and overall , • In Open Expert james Fastle (Pen) won both rnotos in his first race since breaking his collar bone the first of the ' year. j oe l Craig (Suz) led both rn o t os ' b ut dropped back to second near the end. Roger Pattison rode a consistent race to come in third overall. Pattison is leading the Open class point series after co nsist e n t ly placing at every points ra ce . ' At every race th ere is a trophy given to the " Rider Of The Day:' This time it went to Tim Fastle , who came from dead last to win the 20 I-Open Novice, This is quite a feat when you consider the fact that he has only raced mini bikes and th en jumped on a' '250 CZ with such good results . TX .jAN . 23 South Texas Expen Roger Brown of New Braunfels and Cleburne's " wu nd erkind" Guy Allen drove to first place in two classes today at Lake Whitney Cycle Ra nch . The gloomy but tolerable weather turned worse in late afternoon with a blowing drizzle. but failed to daunt Brown and his unstoppa ble pair of Perrin Cycle Pen ron s as he collected first in both 250 and Open Expert action . • Although runni ng off in t he O pen . Brown 's 2-2 in the 250 class was top ma rk over Mel Newm a n (Suz, 5-\ ) a nd Dicky T urnbo (H us, \ -15), . Cycle Roundu p Suzukis pilot ed by Guy Allen racked u p a lmost a perfect score in 125 and 250 Novice. second only to Eric Berg in one 250 race. but 'overall winner in both- classes. Kelley pocketed a C vnote ($100) for his 15 la p efforts.
