I suggest you just retrace you r route
and enjoy more of the scenery on your
way back. Some stretches of road are
very deceiving. The rocks are
exceptionally sharp. plentiful and very
slip pery. The photographer (my son
and riding partner) got into some
shale and slid . breaking off a peg
trying to move a fair sized boulder. He
has the green toes to prove it. In some
places you would think you were riding
an enduro off Sidewinder Road nea r
Barstow.
On the ride you will pass through
two small pieces of private land and
much of the rest is leased for cattle
grazing. So if you open a gate close it.
and don't chase the cows. O ne bull in
Kelty Meadow pawed the ground and
gave us a look (if you can interpret bull
looks) . He seemed to say. "you are
intruding" into my domain and
interfering with my love life." We
eased by very slowly as I didn't want to
tussle with a 2000 pound irate an'mal
on a 215 pound scooter.
