Mitch Payton fini shed 10th overall , five bikes ahead of Jim Brown of Barstow for first Division II Expert. Dennis Rosenburg rode 25 mil es on a rear nat , for 39th overall , first 175 Amateur. Trudy Beck, all alone in 42nd place took first overall lady again . Trud y hated " D u ck 's" downhill , Dick H a rri s " love d it " . Duster Grant J en nings finished right behind Scott Postma of the Badgers, who lost his oil plug, b rakes, clutch , a nd had only first gear left , yet finis hed fourth in class, 53rd overall. Tom Franz took the checkered for first overall, first O pen Novice , for the in vaders, whi le second overa ll went to R ich a rd Baxter of the Brush Bus ters . Tom H o lm es and Mike A nderson took first and second 250 while Mike Connelly and Weird .
