O r so it appeared, what with the way they blasted - off the line and jumped into the first turn four abreast. Finally the pack split up with Steve Clinger p ulling ahead and setting up a tentative lead over Brian Eckess, Randy Moody and Troy Cline in fourth . Brian was breathing fire , hot on Steve's tail and Steve knew it. From time to time he would glance nervously over his shoulder at Brain and push on , throttle wide open. Randy Moody tried his darndest to catch Brian Eckess but couldn't qu ite m ake it. And Troy Cline had a rough time of it and ended with a dnf. This was just the first moto! After a milk and graham crac ker break, these little gu ys were back on the line and raring to go. This time Brian Eckess took over and set up a nice lead for himself; Steve Clinger who had such a beautiful first moto had to settle for fourth with Randy Moody pushing Brian in second place, Troy Cline had recovered and picked up a nice third . When the deciding moto came around the battle once again was between Randy Moody and Brian Eckess. Bri an got the jump on the rest of the guys and hung in th ere. The final checkered flag found Brian bringing home the gold. David "00" Taylor takes six in a row In the Desert or On the Street... .~ - FILTRON DOES THE JOB !
