Fwy•• Dallal Texas 75234 WHITNEY, TX . NOV. 7 It was apparent that the end of was the hillclimbing season near at Lake Whitney Cycle Ranch . In several classes the champion, ship was up for grabs - there were some really wild and wooly rides with the wick held open all the wa y up the hill . . Tracy Davidson had the unusual experience (for him) of not making the top of the hill . On his first try he wiped out on the ledge at 150 feet. This -put Robert Alford and his 125 Elsinore in first place with a 7:98 ·second run . On the second try Tracy waited until everyone but Robert had a run to try it again on his Yamaha. In what could be called a squeaker Tracy edged Robert out by two hundredths of a second with 7.96 seconds.
