CAL. , OCT.28 It was the last night of CRC Mote Cross at Coron a Raceway. The Riverside District Attorney will only allow racing on Wednesday and Friday during the week in the winter time so this fine program was lost. Tony Feldhaus had his difficulties in the 125cc Class and most of them came from Gino Filippi. Tony led the first moto off the line and held it until lap five when he went out with problems. Gino Filippi gladly took over but was only able to hold on to it for one lap when Scott Phillips got by on the last lap to bring it home. The second moto was again a see-saw battle with Gino getting the lead at the start, losing it on lap three to Tony until he again was forced out with bike problems and Gino took over bringing It all the way home this time. Scott got the second. Gino Filippi didn't mess around the final moto as he made sure no one got around him. Tony's bike problems had grounded him permanently and he was unable to make it to the line . Scott was bogged down in traffic far back in the pack and had his hands , full looking for racing room . It took Scott five laps to get by Glenn Peterson and Willard Ruggler but he didn't have time to catch Gino and ended the evening second overall. Willard Ruggler collected the third.
