Miller ices CRC By Elaine Jones CORONA, CAL ., OCT. 14 Marty ' Miller and Gordy Collins squared off in the l25cc Expert class at Corona Thursday night and took it right down to the wire. In Moto I Miller had problems and finished down a lap while Collins had a solid first. Moto II saw Miller jump out in front and give the rest of the field a scenic tour of the course. The third moto cam e around with Collins and Miller tied for first. Miller again got the lead off the line and it was CoIlins' turn to have p roblems which saw him drop out on lap three. Marty picked up the win ~g thllucks. _ Ray Hill and Greg Peterson had a ' ba ttle for first in the Open class with Hill winning the first moto and Pe terson h ome sec o nd. T he tables were t urned in the second moto when Peterson ' got . Eorne first an d Hill seco nd. T h e score was even going in to the fin al inning when Hill got the j ump off the lin e with Peters on right be hind him . Daisy Dave from the north was second. A very smooth riding Goosey Garry won first place. The Intermediates had the largest turnout of members with 12 , riders .sh owin g u p at the starting line. Slimy Steve won it, worming his way to a first place trophy. Swift and smooth should be said of the riding done by first place Rickety Rick of the No vice class . Klumsy Keith won . a second overall ahead of no rtherner Roc ke t Rodney .
