125cc Expert Main was his first win as Dinkins took the lead at the hal fway poin t after trailing eventua l second placer Kirby Shropshire (Suz) . Six races later in the 250cc Expert ru n, it wa s once again Dinkins followed by Frank Adamo (Yam) and Scott Podergois (Suz ). Dinkins capped his successful night in the final race of the program when he sped to his th ird victory over Greg Bookout (Tri) and Mik e King (Suz) in the 5 00-Op en Expert eve nt. Dinkins wasn't the only success sto ry tonight. J im Nation , who prepares small bore bikes for a few Bakersfield riders, had fou r entries on hand and the riders on t hose miniature rockets walked away with three firsts and a secon d.
