missionaries who had flown across the barrier ocean to
dilpIay for Americans the ballet-like beauty and
shrieking excitement of sidecar racing. The record they
would leave behind them on TalIadega's Alabama
International Motor Speedway was to fie the spark of an
electric cattle prod, a catalyst, for American sidecarc
racers to unite.
"I would like to organize a series next year that Will
eventually become a National Championship here in
America. I would bring over perhaps 15 European teams
to compete 'against the American teams in a thiee week,
three racer series." Heukerott has an interest in sidecar
.,acing that he hopes will expand into a business Interest.
"I would like to build a small factory here in America
and produce racing sidecars. I think there will be
interest. "
