Reg Pridmore who lost the Daytona Production race to his teammate
Steve McLaughlin by the width of a tire made sure at Laguna Seca by
winning with a 17 second margin.
Team members Gary Fisher and Steve McLaughlin made up the leading
trio at mid race, leaving the competition (Ducati, Kawasaki and Moto
Guzzi) far behind. A late crash and a broken oil cooler unfortunately
spoiled the 1-2-3 sweep.
This victory follows the Butler & Smith BMW's 1-2 at Daytona and 2-3
at Loudon, N.H. - proving the superiority of the BMW flat twin.
