It's all in the family with Stan and Starr Kimpston - she placed second in half-mile competition with her half of the 125 Suzuki and he placed second with his half in IT action. The locals even invaded the half-mile with Joy Beck beating the boys in mini racing and Steve Davis pushing Dylan Neihart fo r second in 125 Expert co mpe ti ti on. The old man in the moon gave Scott Oliver his graduation papers after he won the IT Main and took a second behind city slicker Terry Singleton o n the half-mile I oval. The Powell-tuned Triumph went home to the winner's c ircle by habit after Lynn Richardson took the lead fr om Vic Hensley in lap two of the eight-lap Open Novice Main . The guys from Taft tried to take the half-mile win from Laney. Dave Johnson got in on the act in IT action by keeping Shawn Leipold behind him and Laney . AMC MX at OCIR By Rex Reese EAST IRVINE , CAL., JULY 2 Morris Malone (Hus) cleaned house again tonight as he won his second straight 250 Pro outing in as many weeks here at AMC's 20 Friday night motocross. The first moto saw' Morris get the holeshot over Gregg Barrett (Su z) and Open Pro rider Clinton, Bartee (Mai) who were both hot on his tracks. In this combined I25 -250 -0pen moto, 125 Miller Manoite Mike Raines (Suz) led the screamers to the point of running over the big boys that got in his way. In the last moto, Barrett ' got a brief moment of glory over Malone, but Morris pulled by to go on for the cash. Clin ton Bartee was third and first Open f ollowed by I25ers Gregg Toyama (FMF), Raines, and Bobby Keyes (Yam), 1-2·3 respectively.
