A freak accident occurred and Joan Taylor and Sharon Hirsh were seriously injured. The third rider Joannie Polaski rode for help . She searched out Dr. Bro ussard, his daughter, Liz, Diane Beck an R.N ., and Jim Lancaster of the DRA. With their swift assistance t he two women were transferre d to the Antelope Valley Hospital. We wo uld like to express our sincere thanks to these people for their unselfishness in respo n ding to the immediate needs of the two injured women. The Colorado Division of Parks opera tes an area strictly for m o to rcy cle (Arapahoe Motorized Sta te use Recrea tion Area) and is co nsi dering opening a new area for motorcycle use at Chatfield State Recreation Area. We are trying to promote interest in Arapahoe , and in the sport in general. We are very interested in having organized ra ces at the area and in getting imput about it from various motorcycle groups.
