Delacy holding off the pack for five laps
until Davis got a wheel underneath and
made a very smooth pass . It took quite
a few more lap s to get Faria. The two
had quite a few passes in between
corners and made it a great show with
Rusty getting the point for the last four
laps.
Jerry Cerro took his first big win of
the year in the 360 Junior Main when
Eddie Gonzales failed to get his SK
Bultaco to fire . John Hegarty and Bob
Miller traded spots for the ten laps for
second and third giving the scorers

Grant Newell won hi s fifth straight
80 Novice Mini Main and leads the class
over Doug Chandler who wo n the
Expert portion. It was different in the
100 -E xp er t Mini Main, as Tony
Deatherage came up with a new pair of
shocks and shocked the crew. Chandler
took second with both riders getting a
standing ovation.
In the Sonny Kenyon Match race
series, Steve Mertens downed veteran
Carl Tressor for his round. Steve
replaced his brother Jim who is out for
another month with a broken leg.
